They have a compact, robust and efficient design and with a very simple working mechanism Based on the working mechanism, there are three main types of commercial juicer machines:
Centrifugal Type
Uses a sharp cutting disc that rotates at a very high speed to shred fruit releasing the juice. The juice is then pulled by centrifugal force to the edge of the disc, which is surrounded by a mesh wrap that separates the juice from the pulp as it passes through.
Masticating Type - Slow & Cold Press
In contrast to the centrifugal type which operate at high speeds, masticating juicers operate at slowly. using an augur (a large screw) or a pair of gears, to grab ingredients while rotating and pulling them downwards, pressing and masticating them squeezing the juice out of the fruit.
