A commercial food processor is a handy kitchen tool used to chop, slice, and cut different vegetables and fruits in different shapes for cooking and salad making. They are used extensively in restaurants, hotels, cafes and commercial kitchens.

Commercial food processors are easy to use saving time and energy along with increasing the safety of the user compared to simple chef knives. A commercial food processor or a slicer can be a hand or motor driven machine, its capacity dependent upon its size and motor speed.

A common type of hand-driven slicer is known as a mandolin slicer. It is a simple kitchen utensil that comes with different attachments to give a specific shape to firm vegetables and fruits. On the other hand, a motorized commercial food processor consists of an electric motor with multiple numbers of knives attached to it that rotate in the cutting vessel of the machine.

The vegetable or fruit that is to be chopped is kept in the cutting vessel where the blades (v-shaped or straight) of the cutter cut them in a uniform and smooth way. The thickness and size of the vegetable or fruit in a vegetable cutter can be adjusted (from 1.5mm to 10mm and more) according to the requirement.
